Regulations

These regulations follow the BOI charter. The full PDF version will be made available to team leaders through the delegate portal.

Eligibility

  • Contestants must be students in secondary education during the 2025/26 school year.
  • Each official delegation may register up to four contestants and two leaders.
  • Contestants must be born on or after July 1, 2006.

Format

  • Two contest days, each 5 hours long, with 3 problems per day.
  • Tasks are scored from 0 to 100 points each. Maximum total: 600 points.
  • Allowed languages: C++17 (g++), Python 3 (CPython).

Conduct

  • No communication with anyone outside the contest hall during a round.
  • Personal electronics, notes, and source code are forbidden in the hall.
  • Tasks, scoring and final ranking are governed by the Scientific Committee.

Awards

  • Medals are awarded approximately 1:2:3 (gold : silver : bronze) of the contestants.
  • An honourable mention is given to any contestant scoring full marks on at least one task.
  • The top-scoring contestant receives the BOI 2026 absolute winner trophy.
