A regional tradition since 1993.
The BOI is an annual programming competition for high-school students from and around the Balkan region. Each participating country sends a team of up to four students, selected from national competitions. The competition consists of a series of algorithmic problems that students must solve within a limited time frame, testing their problem-solving and programming skills.
The BOI aims to promote computer science and programming among young students, fostering a spirit of friendly competition. The current member countries are: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, and Turkey.
