Data we collect

• Email addresses of team leaders, deputies, and accompanying persons used to sign in to the portal and to receive event communications.
• Personal data submitted by delegations about contestants: first and last name, date of birth, gender, nationality, school, travel and passport details required for participation and hosting.
• Photographs of contestants and delegation members. Photos may be published on this website alongside first and last names for identification during the event and for official event coverage.
• Basic technical data (IP address, browser, pages visited) collected via cookies when enabled.

How we use it

Data is used to organize BOI 2026: registering delegations, planning travel and accommodation, running the competition, publishing results and rankings, and official event coverage.

Sharing

We share data only with parties strictly needed to run the event (hotel, venue, transport, Ministry of Education) and with the Scientific Committee for evaluation purposes. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

Personal data is kept for the duration required to organize the event and to publish official records (results, medals, participation certificates). Photos used in event archives may be retained as part of the historical record of BOI.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us through the Contact page. Requests concerning contestants under 18 should be submitted through the team leader of the relevant delegation.
